2. Forensic Faculty
  • The academic paper by Professor Taylor and Dr Thomson has been placed on the FPRS website.  This contains proposals to assist trainees in the development of an academic career in forensic psychiatry.
  • The FPRS committee noted that nominations had been called for by the Academic Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.  We urge members to put themselves forward and were aware that Professor Don Grubin was standing for election as a  committee member.
3. Research Assessment Exercise

The RAE 2008 consultation on the assessment panels draft criteria and working methods is available on the website.
Action: A draft letter to the Psychiatry lead will be prepared by LT, PT and DG

4. Members were advised that a paper on FPRS would appear in the next edition of the Journal of Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology.
5 Professor Taylor proposed a discussion page/blog on the FPRS website regarding research issues such as ethics approval problems and solutions.
